The NSTF Hosts the National Press Club
The adage that good wine, food and conversation go hand-in-hand rang true when the NSTF hosted the National Press Club at the Pretoria Country Club on 26 April 2012. The chilly evening, signalling the onset of winter, did not deter the warm atmosphere that prevailed when a newly elected National Press Club Executive discovered the ramifications of NSTF business.
Executive Director, Ms Jansie Niehaus, delivered a rich and visually captivating presentation which outlined what the NSTF has achieved during its 17 years of existence. In her presentation, Jansie also mentioned the pivotal role that the media can play in disseminating information to critical stakeholders. She also extended an invitation to the media to attend NSTF events and to contact the NSTF for potential stories and interviews. The evening was a combination of networking, presentations, and informal discussion against a backdrop of carefully selected food craftily combined with the appropriate wine which was a blend from master chefs at the Pretoria Country Club and a wine connoisseur from the Rietvallei Wine Estate. The well-attended event had the desired impact and attendees thoroughly enjoyed the experience. |
